The article presents the origin and evolution of philatelic collections which take’s part of the public collections and museums in Romania. The main Romanian cultural institutions with philatelic patrimony during the years are: the Library of the Romanian Academy, the Alex. Gh. Cantacuzino Collections, the Saint-Georges Museums, the Post’s Museum, the National Bank of Romania, the Stamps Factory, the Postal Conservator, the National Philatelic Museum, the Bucharest Municipality Museum, the National History of Romania Museum and the Prahova County Museum of History and Archaeology. |
