The aim of this article is to give a detailed description of the restoration process of a Tančice-arnautke firearm, presenting the methods that were used and the treatments which were applied. In the first part of the article there are details about the provenance of the weapon, its shape, the classification of the materials used in its making and the specifications of its mechanism. The second part comprises the description of the artifact before entering the restoration process and the description of all the steps taken until the completion of the restoration. |
