Excerpt | 1917 was for Russia a revolutionary year, with important consequences both internally and internationally. Romania, which was Russia’s ally in the First World War, as members of the Entente, was fully influenced by the events taking place in this country. The revolution in February 1917 was well received, with the exception of the Royal House, which was worried by the removal of the Tsar, a relative of Queen Marie’s. The October revolution had a negative echo among the government and the political parties; only the revolutionary committee in Odessa saluted this event. |
